Billy Horschel will take a three-shot lead into the final day of the BMW Championship after carding a third-round 63.
Horschel made seven birdies in an impressive bogey-free round in Denver to sit top of the leaderboard on 13-under-par.
Ryan Palmer failed to build on his stellar 64 on day two, shooting 67 to trail his American compatriot by three strokes heading into Sunday.
Martin Kaymer gave himself an outside chance of victory by scoring eight birdies to improve on his second-round 70 to finish with a 64, level with Bubba Watson on eight-under.
Things look a little less optimistic for Rory McIlroy, however, as the four-time Major winner saw his hopes heavily dented by a triple-bogey at the 12th which left him nine shots adrift of Horschel.
