Scotsman Martin Laird and American Stewart Cink have taken an early lead at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Nevada.
The duo carded seven-under scores of 64 in the morning wave of the first round of the FedEx Cup event, leaving them one shot ahead of another Scot, Russell Knox.
Bo Van Pelt, Hideki Matsuyama, Jarrod Lyle, Brian Stuard and Andrew Svoboda are hot on the heels of Knox, recording scores of five-under in the opening round.
Laird, who recently finished third in the Frys.com Open, earned his first PGA Tour title at this event in 2009 and finished as runner-up the following year.
