Scotland's Scott Jamieson shot a bogey-free 65 to grab a share of the lead after the first round of the M2M Russian Open.
Jamieson is joined at the top of the leaderboard by Australia's Daniel Gaunt, who birdied two of his final three holes to join Jamieson on six-under-par.
England's Lee Slattery and Welshman Bradley Dredge are one behind the early pacesetters, while there are many more within touching distance of the lead with 56 players under par.
One of those is defending champion David Horsey, whose 67 leaves him two behind the leaders.
