Brian Stuard has taken a one-shot lead in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans after carding an eight-under-par 64 on the opening round in Avondale.
Half of the field could not finish their rounds due to heavy thunderstorms, but Stuard managed to get round the course as he hit eight birdies, five of which came on the front nine.
Stuard's round took him above Retief Goosen, who hit seven birdies, while five players currently sit three shots off the pace.
JJ Henry, Geoff Ogilvy, Derek Ernst, Charles Howell III and Patrick Rodgers carded 67s, while Rickie Fowler ended the round with a four-under-par 68.
