Justin Thomas has surged to the top of the leaderboard after carding an 11-under-par 61 in the second round of the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur.
The American has an overall one-shot lead after he stormed through the first five holes scoring three birdies and an eagle.
Thomas continued his fine form by carding a further six birdies, while his countryman Brendan Steele sits one shot behind him following seven birdies and an eagle.
First-round leader Scott Piercy is now two shots off the pace after dropping shots on the second and fifth holes.
Adam Scott, who won The Masters in 2013, had a better day as he moved up seven places in the leaderboard after scoring an eagle on the fifth hole, and he recovered from two bogeys by putting three consecutive birdies on the back nine.
The Australian is 10-under-par overall, five shots behind leader Thomas.
