Tiger Woods stole the show on the opening day of the Wyndham Championship thanks to a season-best round of 64.
Despite dropping down to 286th in the world rankings due to a dismal run of form this year, Woods attracted much of the attention once again and he offered a reminder of his qualities with seven birdies to reach six-under-par.
In his best round since the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, there was also a moment for the world number one's highlight reel as he chipped in on his first hole, but his efforts were not enough for a share of the lead.
Erik Compton, William McGirt and Tom Hoge currently sit at the top of the leaderboard on eight-under, while Morgan Hoffman, Derek Ernst and Jim Herman are just a shot further back.
It was an impressive day for Martin Kaymer, Carl Pettersson and Davis Love III, too, as they joined Woods on six-under.
