The Great Britain junior mixed team made history at the 13th TeamGym European Championships by taking the gold medal in Guimaraes.
Prior to Friday's junior finals, GB had only ever taken one medal in the discipline since 1996, but all three teams posted podium finishes on an astounding day of gymnastics.
The junior men's team were guaranteed a medal in the three-team category and placed second behind a dominant Sweden, with Estonia ranking third.
The junior women just edged out Finland to take a bronze medal, with Iceland finishing in second place and Sweden just pipping their fellow Nordic nation to the title by a mere 0.100.
Finally, Sweden and Iceland were no match for GB's spectacular junior mixed team, who posted the category's highest scores on floor, tumble and trampette to affirm their status as European champions.
The senior finals commence on Saturday, but GB have already ensured that they will be travelling home with their greatest TeamGym European Championships medal haul to date. body check tags ::
