Max Whitlock has become the first Briton to secure an Olympic medal in gymnastics for more than 100 years.
The 23-year-old's score of 90.641 across the six rotations was enough to bag bronze and see him become the first Brit to make the podium in the event since 1908.
Whitlock's final tally saw him edge out David Belyavskiy of Russia into fourth place, while Ukraine's Oleg Verniaiev took home sliver and Japan's Kohei Uchimura won gold.
Meanwhile, Whitlock's compatriot Nile Wilson had to settle for eighth place, falling off the pace quickly after a promising qualifying campaign.
