NGM Forward Racing rider Simone Corsi has undergone a four-hour operation on his left arm after crashing during the British Moto2 Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday.
The Italian sportsman's fracture was fixed with a plaque and screws before doctors turned their attention to injuries suffered to the extensor tendons of the wrist.
Corsi's team have confirmed that the rider will not take part in the GP TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini at Misano in less that two weeks' time, but have not given a date on the sportsman's return.
Corsi was treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
