NASCAR driver Tony Stewart has revealed that he doesn't need to meet the family of Kevin Ward Jr, who died as a result of a race incident between the two drivers, to gain closure.
The 20-year-old lost his life when Stewart struck him with his car midway through a race event in upstate New York back in August.
Stewart has claimed that he has received closure following the tragedy because he knows that it was an accident.
"At this point, I don't need to talk to them for closure," AFP quotes Stewart as saying. "I know what happened. I know it was an accident. I want to be available to them if they want to talk about it."
Stewart could face a civil lawsuit from Ward's family.
