Colombia's Juan Pablo Montoya came from 30th place to win his second Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.
The 39-year-old Penske Racing driver fell behind the pack when his car's rear wing suffered damaged during a caution period.
However, he managed to fight back and overtake teammate Will Power with three laps left to go before crossing the finish line.
Montoya, who last won the event in 2000, is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "This is what IndyCar is all about, awesome racing all the way down to the wire. I don't even know what to say. This is too good."
American Charlie Kimball took third place.
