Ajax have confirmed that the supporter who fell from a stand during their Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday remains in critical condition.
The 46-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after falling to the 'moat' behind the goal during Ajax's 2-1 win over Barcelona at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Ajax said in a statement on their official website: "The man is married and father of a son. He is a football fan, a real Ajax supporter who watches every game and occasionally goes to the stadium.
"He was seriously injured Tuesday night and taken to the hospital in critical condition. His condition was on Thursday morning still critical. Finally, the family said that he had a quiet night but has serious head injuries and remains in intensive care."
The club are also reportedly providing counselling for fans who witnessed the fall.
