Richard Keys reveals that Jamie Redknapp once "lost the plot" and picked a fight with someone at Arsenal during a Sky Sports broadcast.

Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has revealed that Jamie Redknapp once "lost the plot" and wanted to fight an Arsenal fan during filming.

Keys, who left the broadcaster in 2011 after footage of him and colleague Andy Gray making sexist remarks came to light, worked alongside pundit Redknapp for a number of years.

In Keys's latest blog, the 57-year-old wrote: "I lost count of the times I had to calm him during the many occasions I worked with him.

"There's a guy at Arsenal can thank his lucky stars there was glass between him and Redknapp the night of the 4-4 vs. Spurs at the Emirates. Jamie lost the plot completely. He wanted to fight him."

Keys also criticised Redknapp's inability to remain impartial when discussing a team managed by his father Harry.

The sports presenter added: "It was the last time we let him work on a game that one of his Dad's teams was playing in. He would often get too close to individuals he liked, or not, and couldn't offer objective opinions."

Redknapp remains part of Sky Sports' football coverage.
