Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has described Jack Wilshere's recent smoking incident as "not the end of the world".
The Arsenal midfielder caused controversy after he was spotted puffing on a cigarette while on holiday in Las Vegas this summer.
It is the second time that the England international has been pictured smoking, following last year's snap of him outside of a nightclub in London.
While Scholes has admitted that he never smoked during his career, the new BT Sport pundit does not have an issue with the habit.
"What Jack gets up to in the summer is up to him," Scholes told the Daily Mail. "He had a smoke, but it's not the end of the world.
"At United the laundry room used to be full of smoke in the mornings because Laurent Blanc and Fabien Barthez wouldn't start training until they had a cigarette."
Wilshere competed in the Gunners' opening Premier League 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates last Saturday.
