Baltimore Ravens fans have reportedly been lining up in their thousands to return jerseys with Ray Rice's name on the back in the wake of his domestic abuse scandal.
The 27-year-old running back was handed an indefinite ban earlier this month after CCTV footage emerged of him knocking out his then-fiancee in a casino lift in Atlantic City.
According to the Daily Star, more than 7,000 fans handed back their number 27 jerseys in exchange for new tops at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore over the weekend.
Rice was initially suspended for two games until the CCTV footage was released into the public domain by US website TMZ.
