Barcelona striker David Villa has claimed that he is "very happy" to announce the birth of his son Luca.

The Spain international has welcomed his third child into his family with his wife, who gave birth in Barcelona last night.

Villa wrote on Twitter: "Last night Luca Villa Gonzalez was born! Everything went well and the baby and the mother are healthy. Everyone in the family are very happy."

The 31-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that Barca are unwilling to sell the forward.
