The European Judo Union has weighed in on the debate about whether Sergio Ramos's challenge on Mohamed Salah in the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid was legal.
The defender and the Egyptian international locked arms as they jostled for the ball, with Salah coming off worse, having suffered a shoulder injury which may keep him out of the World Cup finals.
Ramos went unpunished for his part in the incident and the matter of whether he should have been penalised has since divided fans and analysts.
European Judo Union has taken to Twitter to offer its take on the challenge and has sided with Salah, pointing out that Ramos's takedown was similar to a move that is outlawed in judo.
Liverpool lost the match 3-1.
