Former footballer turned Hollywood actor Vinnie Jones has revealed that both he and his wife Tanya are receiving treatment for skin cancer.
The ex-Chelsea, Wimbledon and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder went for a check-up on a small blemish below his eye in February, which was found to be melanoma.
That is the most serious type of skin cancer, and kills 1,300 men and 900 women every year, but Jones, 48, told The Sun that he would fight the illness with "everything I've got".
He added: "When the doctor said I had skin cancer, the first thing I thought was 'how long have I got'. It's weighing very heavily on me all the time."
The Mean Machine star also revealed that his spouse of 19 years, Tanya, had been fighting skin cancer as a result of medication that she had been taking since undergoing a heart transplant 26 years ago.
