Former professional footballer Vinnie Jones has revealed that he has been praying daily for England legend Paul Gascoigne.
The 45-year-old has been admitted to a rehab facility in the United States in order to help battle alcoholism following a recent public appearance in Northampton where the ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder struggled to string words together while on stage.
"Everyone is a million per cent behind trying to look after one of our crown jewels," Jones told The Sun. "I've been praying for him every day. I am going to go and see him in Arizona. I want to let him get to a better level before I do."
The likes of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, retired professional Gary Lineker and TV host Piers Morgan are among those that are thought to have financially contributed to Gascoigne's treatment.
