Chelsea supporter Josh Parsons, who was embroiled in the Paris Metro racism row earlier this week, appears to have been suspended by his employers.

A Chelsea fan who was embroiled in the Paris Metro racism row has been suspended by his employers.

The Blues last night took action against three supporters who had been identified from the clip, which shows a black man being refused entry onto a train ahead of Tuesday night's meeting with Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital.

It now appears that 21-year-old Josh Parsons, who was allegedly among the large crowd of fans present, has been handed a suspension by employers The Business & Commercial Finance Club while an inquiry is conducted.

A statement on the firm's Facebook page read: "We are utterly opposed to racism in all of its forms and would never tolerate racist conduct among any employee. We are investigating the events in Paris and Mr Parsons will not return to work until we have conducted a full and thorough investigation."

Parsons has previously been described as a "gentle boy" by his family.
