Three England supporters have been ordered to return to Portugal after allegedly being involved in rioting at the European Championships in 2004.

The suspects were deported during the tournament and hundreds of England supporters were arrested by police for getting involved in the unsavoury scenes at the holiday resort of Albufeira.

Ten years later, the three suspects, who have been named in court papers revealed by Sky News as Richard Freeman from Berkshire, Lewis Andrews from Oxfordshire and Wayne Finney from Nottinghamshire, could face a term behind bars.

According to reports, prosecutors have accused supporters of attacking the police, which left one officer suffering a foot injury that required stitches.

The Portuguese officials have until December to prosecute the three suspects.
