Former England cricketer Tom Graveney has died, aged 88.

The ex-England captain, who served as president of the MCC between 2004 and 2005, scored 11 centuries at an average of 44.38 in 79 Tests for his nation.

At domestic level, Graveney had spells at Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Queensland, and scored more than 47,793 first-class runs from 1948 to 1972.

The batsman, who scored 122 centuries for his clubs, became a BBC commentator when he retired from the sport.
