The widow of former rugby league player Danny Jones has been asked to sing before the Challenge Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
Jones played in the Super League for Halifax and represented Wales on 12 occasions, before dying as a result of a cardiac arrest after collapsing while in action for Keighley Cougars in May.
Lizzie Jones, who is a professional singer, will sing 'Abide With Me' after being contacted by organisers.
"I didn't even hesitate. Danny was my biggest fan, and I know that he's setting up a lot of things for me and I feel that this is what is meant to happen," she told BBC Derbyshire.
