The metro system in Kiev was briefly suspended today after police received calls of bomb threats ahead of tonight's Champions League final.
Five stations - Dnipro, Hydropark, Livoberezhna, Arsenalna and Heroiv Dnipra - were all closed following the phone calls, according to Marca, with police then sweeping the stations as a precaution.
The checks determined that all five stations were safe, however, and police subsequently declared that the threats were a hoax and restored full service to the metro system.
Many tens of thousands of supporters have descended on the Ukrainian capital ahead of the European showpiece between Liverpool and Real Madrid, although many fans have struggled to find accommodation and transport in order to make it to the game.
