Wasps fly-half Danny Cipriani has been found guilty of drink-driving after smashing his Mercedes into a taxi in London.
The 28-year-old was banned from driving for 18 months and was ordered at Westminster Magistrates' Court to pay £7,620 in fines and costs.
It was alleged that Cipriani, who was playing for Sale Sharks at the time of the incident, could not stand upright and slurred his words.
The rugby player, whose eyes were "glazed" at the time of the crash, was breathalysed in Imperial Road, Fulham, shortly after the crash, which occurred at 5.15am on June 1, 2015.
Police found 67 micrograms of alcohol in his breath, which is double the legal limit.
