Carlos Tevez reportedly begins work as an unpaid cleaner as part of his community service order.

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has reportedly begun his 250 hours of unpaid community service as a street cleaner.

The 29-year-old, who was handed the order after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance, is thought to have arrived for his duties in a chauffeur-driven Porsche.

The Argentina international, who was wearing an orange bib, is believed to have reacted when an onlooker tried to take a photo of him before he began to clean and tidy a 30ft storage container.

"I saw one lad walk up to the shed," an onlooker told The Sun. "He must have thought it was a great photo opportunity, but Tevez saw him and stormed up to him saying, 'Give me phone. Delete photo, delete photo'.

"He must have said no because Tevez tried to reach for the phone to snatch it. But then the probation officer stepped in to defuse the situation. He was asked to delete it so he did. He didn't want to get anyone in trouble."

Tevez could start in tonight's Manchester derby against Manchester United.
