Amir Khan insists that he is still a Bolton supporter, despite wearing a Manchester United shirt during a visit to the Red Devils squad.

Bolton-born boxer Amir Khan met with members of the Manchester United team ahead of their FA Cup fifth-round bout against Reading.

The 26-year-old, who met Javier Hernandez, Rio Ferdinand and Alexander Buttner, has insisted that he remains a Bolton supporter, despite being pictured wearing a United shirt.

Khan wrote on Twitter: "Still a true Bolton fan #BWFC all the way."

The British fighter also gave a pair of signed boxing gloves to Hernandez.
