Manchester United striker Robin van Persie suffered abuse on social media after posting pictures of himself celebrating with young players representing Manchester City and Chelsea.
At the weekend, the 31-year-old hosted the Robin van Persie International Tournament in his homeland of Holland, involving Under-9s and Under-10s.
Van Persie's son Shaqueel and the boy of ex-United midfielder Darren Fletcher played for City in the competition, which was made up of 14 teams.
The former Arsenal captain wrote "very proud of you lads. Man City u9 well done!" alongside a photo of the City youngsters, and he also penned, "brilliant day here with the Chelsea future stars well done lads," alongside another picture.
Some fellow Twitter users reacted to the photos by describing Van Persie as "judas", while one individual wrote: "City and now Chelsea? WTF! who is next Liverpool? Jesus."
