The BBC has confirmed that a second series of Class of 92: Out of their League will be screened later this year.
The first series followed the trials and tribulations of non-league side Salford City, who are owned by five former Manchester United players.
Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers purchased the Northern Premier League Division One North champions in 2014, although they have since sold 50% of their share to Singapore businessman Peter Lim.
"The original series took us to the heart of a community where much was at stake as the new owners took over," said head of BBC documentaries Patrick Holland.
"Not only was it hugely entertaining, it also explored the often difficult relationship between tradition and progress that resonated with the wider audience. We are very excited to return to Salford for another season of highs and lows."
Salford are currently fourth in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
