Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton met Pope Francis in the Vatican City while on a trip to Rome with girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger last weekend.
The couple joined tens of thousands of people gathered in St Peter's Square to listen to the Argentine read passages from the Bible.
After the service, Hamilton and his other half shook hands with the Catholic church leader.
Hamilton took to Twitter to post an image of the Pope's mode of transport, with the message: "Met the pope in Rome. Even he drives a Benz so you know Mercedes is the best!"
