Newcastle United's Ryan Taylor has accused car washer Lee Donnelly of stealing a number of memorabilia from him.
The 28-year-old has revealed that a bag of items, including a pair of boots that Taylor wore when he scored the winning goal against Sunderland in 2011, was stolen from his home.
"I was one of the only ones to trust him at my home," Taylor told The Sun. "In the end he would come round and I would leave my garage door open. I thought nothing of it.
"But one time after he had gone this bag had gone missing and it had all the memorabilia I wanted to keep for myself in it."
Donnelly, who has been cautioned by police, is said to have sold four pairs of Taylor's boots on eBay for £100.
