Former England captain David Beckham is reportedly lined up to play a villain in a new spy film.

Recently-retired footballer David Beckham has reportedly been lined up to feature in a new spy thriller film.

The former England captain has been publicly backed by Hollywood producers to embark on the film industry following his decision to retire from football at the age of 38.

Beckham has been chosen to play a villain in Matthew Vaughn's new film The Secret Service, according to the Daily Mail.

Beckham played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain during his career.
