Former Force India driver Paul di Resta and his ex-manager Anthony Hamilton have agreed an out-of-court settlement following a legal dispute.
Di Resta sacked Hamilton, who is the father of Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis, back in 2012 over an alleged disagreement with regards to a sponsorship deal with energy drinks company Go Fast.
In response, Hamilton launched a lawsuit accusing Di Resta of a breach of contract and loss of earnings, which resulted in the matter being taken to the High Court in December last year.
According to Sportinglife.com, Di Resta's management company, The Sports Partnership, has confirmed that the dispute had been resolved with an out-of-court settlement.
Hamilton is quoted as saying: "I am very sorry Paul and I fell out to the extent we did, and I am pleased to put this matter to bed.
"Paul is a very talented driver, and it is a real shame he does not have the F1 seat in 2014 he deserves. I am sure he will do fantastically well in DTM for Mercedes, and I wish Paul the very best for the future."
Di Resta said: "This has been a difficult year, and I am just pleased to put it behind me and to concentrate on my racing. I am looking forward to racing in DTM for Mercedes this year and to the future ahead."
Di Resta lost his seat at Force India at the end of last season and will compete in the German touring car series DTM.
