The Football Association of England has announced that it has "worked closely" with authorities currently investigating allegations of match-fixing in British football.

The National Crime Agency has arrested six men, including at least three footballers, on suspicion of fixing match results in the lower leagues of English football.

"The FA has been made aware of a number of arrests in relation to an NCA (National Crime Agency) investigation," reads a statement from the FA.

"We have worked closely with the authorities in relation to these allegations. The FA will make no further comment at this time due to ongoing investigations."

Former Premier League player Delroy Facey is reported to be one of those arrested.
