Olympic gold medallists Mo Farah and Usain Bolt have helped boost sales for Virgin Media after the pair appeared in an advertising campaign.
The firm have confirmed that they picked up a new addition of 39,500 customers in the quarter ending September 30, compared to 6,300 the year before.
"This has been a quarter where continued strong demand for superfast broadband and TiVo has led to lower churn and meaningful cable customer growth," Virgin Media chief executive Neil Berkett said.
Revenue is believed to have increased to £1.03bn over the three-month period.
