Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne has been charged with two counts of common assault following an incident at the Stevenage railway station.
The 46-year-old has also been charged with being drunk and disorderly after being arrested on July 4.
Gascoigne has a long history of alcohol abuse and is reported to have recently relapsed following a spell in a rehabilitation clinic.
The retired footballer has been bailed to appear at North East Hertfordshire Magistrates' Court on August 5.
