Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has reportedly agreed to become a contestant on the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 46-year-old has been keeping a low profile after he was ordered to pay £1,000 following a drunken assault at a railway station in Stevenage in July.
It is understood that Gascoigne is hoping that a stint on reality show Ballando Con Le Stele will help him battle his alcoholism as his focus will be elsewhere, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports have claimed that the retired midfielder will pocket £400,000 for appearing on the show.
