Former Wales international John Hartson has revealed that he has struggled with gambling addiction.
The 39-year-old, who survived testicular cancer, has opened up about his problems in a BBC One documentary The John Hartson Story.
The former Celtic striker, who has not done any betting in three years, has claimed that he attends Gamblers Anonymous meetings twice a week.
"I was a man who gambled every day for 20 years and since being clean I haven't so much as bought a lottery ticket," the Daily Star quotes Hartson as saying. "It's an addiction like sex or drugs or alcohol."
The programme will be shown on BBC One this Wednesday.
