The BBC have reportedly handed Match of the Day pundit Mark Lawrenson a reduced role on the show for the upcoming season.
The 56-year-old is believed to have had his air time lessened following complaints from viewers that the highlights show has become boring.
While Lawrenson will keep his place within the lineup alongside host Gary Lineker and fellow pundit Alan Hansen, the ex-Liverpool player will have a smaller role, according to the Daily Star.
The likes of Gus Poyet and Robbie Savage are expected to rotate as experts on the programme.
