British singer Leona Lewis has become the centre of controversy within the racing world following a message about the Grand National on Twitter.
The X Factor winner described the biggest race event of the year as "bullshit" after suggesting that jockeys should be "put down".
The singer's message on Twitter said: "How about we put down the little tw*ts that running those poor horses into the ground. can't stand this bulls***."
A Facebook group called 'Boycott Leona Lewis' was set up following her remarks calling on the 28-year-old to apologise for her comment.
Lewis's comments come after Irish jockey JT McNamara was left paralysed following a fall at the Cheltenham Festival.
