WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez has visited the Vatican to show his world title belt to the Pope.
The 38-year-old, who defended the title in Buenos Aires in April, secured a one-on-one meeting with fellow Argentinian Pope Francis yesterday.
Martinez's promoter said that the boxer would use the meeting to discuss his campaigns against bullying and domestic violence with the head of the Catholic church.
Martinez has won 51 of his 55 professional contests.
