Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba has revealed that he was asked to sign on for the next series of Dancing On Ice.
The 24-year-old, who suffered a cardiac arrest during an FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur last season, was forced to retire from the professional game following his miraculous recovery.
Despite turning down the chance to feature in the ITV show because it would be too "dangerous", Muamba has claimed that he would be open to signing on for Strictly Come Dancing.
"I was approached to do Dancing On Ice but I had to say no," Muamba told the Radio Times. "That's more dangerous than football. My insurance definitely doesn't cover that but I'd do Strictly Come Dancing. I love my salsa, so I'd be well up for that."
Meanwhile, Muamba has been doing his bit for Children In Need by competing in a match with special needs youngsters and disabled teens to raise money.
