The Premier League and Football League have announced that they will not be requesting that clubs up and down the country pay tribute to the deceased Margaret Thatcher.
Former conservative Prime Minister, who was in power from 1979 to 1990, passed away aged 87 yesterday from a stroke.
Top-flight fixtures, matches within the lower leagues, as well as the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend have no plans to hold a minute's silence in respect for the politician.
Tributes to Baroness Thatcher can be held by individual clubs if they decide to do so.
