The Professional Footballers' Association attempt to reclaim the money that they paid to Reginald D Hunter.

The Professional Footballers' Association have started proceedings to get back the money that they paid comedian Reginald D Hunter to perform at their annual awards dinner on Sunday evening.

American stand-up Hunter caused controversy by using the n-word on a regular basis, while he also made a joke about Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who was banned for eight matches back in 2011 for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

That has resulted in heavy criticism being levelled at the PFA, who have reacted by asking for their money back.

"We are in discussions with our lawyer and our lawyer is in discussion with the London Speaker Bureau, who we booked him through," the organisation's deputy chief executive Bobby Barnes told The Telegraph.

It has been reported that Hunter received a five-figure fee for his 10-minute cameo.
