Reeva Steenkamp felt "caged in" during her relationship with Oscar Pistorius, according to the father of her friend Kim Myers.
The 26-year-old athlete, who is thought to have been dating the South African model since November, was granted bail after he was formally charged with the premeditated murder of Steenkamp, who was found dead at Pistorius's home in Pretoria with bullet wounds to the hip, elbow and head on Valentine's Day.
Cyril Myers, who is the father of Steenkamp's friend, whom she lived with, has revealed that Pistorius wouldn't leave the 29-year-old alone.
"He kept pestering her, phoning and phoning and phoning her," The Sun quotes Cyril as saying. "Oscar was hasty and impatient and very moody, that's my impression of him. She told me he pushed her a bit into a corner. She felt caged in. I told him, 'Back off'."
Steenkamp was cremated in a private ceremony last week.
