A police ballistics expert has claimed that it is likely that Paralympian Oscar Pistorius was not wearing his prosthetic legs when he fired gunshots through a bathroom door, killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Capt Christiaan Mangena returned to the stand at the High Court in Pretoria on day 13 of the murder trial, where Pistorius is accused of murdering Steenkamp, who was shot dead at his home on Valentine's Day last year.
Mr Mangena told the court that the most probable scenario was that the 27-year-old was on his stumps, shooting from the shoulder during the incident.
Pistorius, who denies murder by claiming that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder, has maintained that he was not wearing his prosthetic legs when the shooting took place.
