Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius has reportedly been left feeling "traumatised" after his girlfriend was found dead at his home in Pretoria, South Africa.
Pistorius is alleged to have shot 30-year-old girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at least four times in the arm and the head, with reports claiming that the 26-year-old mistook the model for a burglar in the early hours of the morning.
The double amputee, who competed in both the Olympics and the Paralympic Games in London last year, was arrested by police and questioned following the incident.
"We can't comment on his emotional well-being, but he is traumatised after losing someone close to him," Eyewitness News journalist Barry Bateman quotes a police statement as saying.
It is understood that Pistorius will appear in Pretoria Magistrates' Court later today.
