The Premier League has cancelled an annual youth tournament in Ypres, Belgium after the country's security level was raised following the Paris attacks.
Under-12 sides from France, Germany, Belgium and England were due to take part in the Truce Tournament, but officials have decided to cancel this year's event amid security fears.
Ged Roddy, the Premier League's director of youth, said that the decision was made after discussions with clubs, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Belgian authorities
"We are disappointed to postpone the Truce Tournament as it has been extremely beneficial to the development of the young players who have taken part in previous years," he told BBC Sport.
"But the safety of those due to be involved is our first priority."
No football matches took place in Brussels at the weekend as the city was put on lockdown.
