Michael Schumacher's wife Corinna has released a statement asking the media to leave the hospital treating the seven-time Formula 1 world champion.
The German sportsman has undergone two operations at the University Hospital in Grenoble after suffering a head injury following a fall while skiing in the French Alps on December 29.
According to The Guardian, Corinna said: "It's very important to me that you ease the burden on the doctors and the hospital so that they can do their work in peace. Please also leave our family alone."
Schumacher currently remains in a stable but critical condition.
