Former Rangers owner Craig Whyte is reportedly the subject of an arrest warrant following his failure to turn up to court.
The 41-year-old was called to give evidence at a trial at Inverness Sheriff Court involving his former housekeepers, but it is understood that Whyte has remained in his property in Monaco.
"He'd been postally cited and personally cited six weeks ago," the Scottish Sun quotes prosecutor Kelly Mitchell as saying. "He had previously indicated a willingness to appear. I am seeking a warrant for Mr Whyte to prevent this from happening again."
Whyte could be arrested when he returns to the UK and put behind bars until a new trial date, which is expected to be in September.
